Duplex Steel Pipe/Tube

Duplex Stainless Steels also referred to as austenitic-ferritic stainless steels because their metallurgical structure consists of two phases, austenitec and ferrite. Super Duplex is a stainless steel mainly used in oil and gas applications. Super Duplex alloys are characterised by a high chromium and molybdenum content.

Stainless steel pipe is used for structural and piping applications that require the properties that stainless steel delivers – high strength, toughness and excellent corrosion resistance. Seamless stainless pipe is used for applications that require internal pressure within the pipe such as process equipment, water treatment and marine applications. Welded steel pipe is used for structural applications that are exposed to corrosive environments such as marine and external applications. These include handrails, poles and support piping.

Super Duplex Pipe

Super Duplex is a stainless steel mainly used in oil and gas applications. Super Duplex alloys are characterised by a high chromium and molybdenum content. This gives it a high tensile strength which allows it to have a better resistance to corrosion cracking and erosion, as well as having a high thermal conductivity and a low thermal expansion than conventional austenitic stainless steels. The high chromium and molybdenum content also gives Super Duplex Steel a high resistance to acids that could cause pitting and crevice corrosion.
